IVM (Invitro Maturation)

In vitro maturation (IVM) of oocytes is a technique whereby oocytes are collected from a patient in an immature form, after limited hormonal stimulation, and then are matured in the laboratory prior to insemination of sperm. Although more than 3000 children born with IVM but IVM is still considered a research technique, should applied as routine clinical practice.

Patients Suitable for IVM

• PCOS patients particularly vulnerable to hyperstimulation.
• Woman who requires to proceed to a cycle of chemotherapy treatment immediately.
• Woman who requires avoidance of high estrogen level like oestrogen sensitive tumor.
